Hello and welcome back to my blog!
This year for my A2 coursework, I will be studying and focusing on music and the media!
I have a really strong passion for music and how music videos are put together. I think music is probably the most exciting topics in the media area personally and I think I will really enjoy creating my own music videos for the practical and learning about how music videos are put together .
My task this year involves creating a promotion package for the release of an album, to include a music promo video, together with two of the following three options (ancillary tasks):
- (a website homepage for the band);
- a CD inlay for its release as part of a digipak (CD/DVD package);
- a magazine advertisement for the digipak (CD/DVD package).
I did really enjoy media studies in year 12 focusing on film, however I think I will achieve better this year because I think I will enjoy it lots more as I personally think it's more exciting !
I like lots of different types of music, particularly dance and baseline . This is because I find this music exciting and very active, it makes you want to get up and dance. They're aren't always many lyrics in dance and bassline songs and music videos but when there is there isn't much. Some dance and baseline artists I like are : Holy goof, Chris Lorenzo, Skepsis, Bassboy etc.
However I do like quite a lot of pop music because it also has a taste of dance in it ! For example, I particularly like Justin Bieber and Jax Jones. Both these artists always release songs that create a vibrant atmosphere and give awakening, good vibes .
I do like some bands, however indie music and bands aren't my favourite . I just find that type of music very bland, plain and too chill!
I am also not a very big fine at all of heavy metal music! I do not find this music appealing at all. It gives me dark, negative vibes which I don't like! Its too loud and screechy !
For my main task next year I will most likely create a music video with a song from the pop/dance as they're my favourite and I think I will really enjoy creating this !
