The dreamy effect... How I did it

I used the 'dreamy effect' once throughout my music production. I originally decided to include this at the very end of my music video right from the start of planning and storyboarding. This dreamy effect was ultimately used to create an effect of the 'mum' or 'older woman' coming out her dream/day dream after looking at the picture of her being young.
I simply followed a YouTube video that was just under 5 minutes long to create this 'dreamy blur' effect using adobe premiere pro.
After following simple steps to make this effect. I had to increase the brightness and contrast to make the effect look more 'magical, 'mysterious' and 'dreamy' blurring and blending the two clips together. I also had to increase the blurriness of the 'dream blur' to make it look even more dreamy .
